FAQ's
What is counselling?
Counselling offers you a confidential and non-judgemental space where you can think and explore the issues that are concerning you. We can work together and help you to make sense of things in order to resolve complicated feelings or find ways of managing them.
Is counselling for me?
If you feel you may benefit from talking to someone who is trained to listen and can provide empathic support and challenge, it is likely that you will find counselling helpful.
What happens in a session?
Each session lasts 50 minutes and we will usually spend time talking however you may wish to use other means to express your emotions.
How long will counselling last?
This will depend on a number of factors which we can discuss when we first meet. I usually advise we meet for a few sessions initially with a review at the end of that time. Sometimes clients choose time limited counselling where others may prefer a more open-ended approach.
How much will each session cost?
I charge £45 for the initial session and £40 thereafter. All sessions offered will need to be paid for. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a session will need to be paid for as it is difficult to offer this time to another client.
